
Thomas Eckstein
Pastor Tom Eckstein was born in Thief River Falls, Minnesota, where he lived until he graduated from high school in 1981. He attended Concordia College in St. Paul, Minnesota, where he graduated in 1986, and in 1987 he enrolled at Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, where he graduated with an MDiv in May of 1991. He was ordained into the pastoral office on July 14th of 1991. He is the pastor of Concordia Lutheran in Jamestown, ND, where he has served since June 2005. He has been married to his wife, Andrea, for 36 years and they have been blessed with three children - Birgitta, Joshua, and Christianna – as well as three grandchildren – Hallie, Judah, and Nicodemus. They also have two grandchildren who are with our Lord - Immanuel Hope and Charles, Jr. Pastor Eckstein is the author of Bearing Their Burden: Speaking the Truth in Love to People Burdened by Homosexuality (LULU, 2010) as well as For Theophilus (LULU, 2014). He has also authored the following for CPH: 1) The Enrichment Magazine portion of the LifeLight Bible study on the Apocrypha: Time Between the Testaments; 2) An essay on homosexuality in Ethics of Sex: From Taboo to Delight; 3) A Biblical Response to Homosexuality.
