They faced the morning's growing rays:
Their Master's body to adorn,
Not knowing this was Easter morn.
Refrain: The Son of God has conquered night
And reigns in everlasting light!
The sun began to rise that day;
The angel, clad in bright array,
Was witness to the glorious sight—
The Savior has made all things right. (Refrain)
The wondrous news now quickly share
To ev'ry land, to ev'rywhere;
Be shining lights for all to see,
Attesting to His majesty! (Refrain)
