The Concordia Psalter series engages all choirs and congregations in singing the psalmody of the Church. Psalm versifications have been artfully paraphrased and set to lyric melodies in settings for any combination of unison or two-part choirs. The refrains can be reproduced for congregational service folders. Each set in the series provides fresh, new arrangements of various psalms appointed in the Lutheran Service Book three-year lectionary. The accompaniments are intended to be elegant, the refrains memorable.
Series A, Set 2 includes fifteen psalms paraphrased by Richard Leach and composed by Amanda Husberg for unison or two-part choirs, keyboard (organ or piano), optional congregation, and C instrument. Includes tables of occurrence of these fifteen psalms in the Lutheran Service Book lectionary and arranged by Church Year.
