See What Others Are Saying

"Read, better yet re-read this book! Lessing’s alliterative, energy infused style compels the reader to see his/her story in the story of Moses… Like few others can, Lessing mines the depth and breadth of the text and delivers caches of precious gems for scholar and “average” Christ follower alike."

—Rev. Dr. Brian L. Friedrich, President, Concordia University, St. Paul

"…Reed Lessing takes the reader on a compelling journey through the book of Exodus. With remarkable skill in handling God’s Word, Dr. Lessing relates the Exodus events to the backstory of Genesis, highlights Psalms that recall God’s saving acts in Exodus, and most importantly reveals how Exodus anticipates Christ."

—Rev. Dr. Christopher Kennedy, Senior Pastor, Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, School, and Child Care, San Antonio, Texas

Theologically Astute and Deeply Christ-Centered

A magnificent blend of biblical scholarship and heartfelt passion, Dr. Lessing grabs us by the hand and expertly guides us on an exegetical excursion to see Jesus in the Exodus. Theologically astute and deeply Christ-centered, Dr. Lessing’s beautiful writing leaves no doubt that he met Him there first. Weaving insightful analogies with biblical connections, Deliver Us will be valuable to new believers as well as those steeped in the faith. This dynamic study has forever altered how I view the book of Exodus. Deliver Us is not merely a generic guide through an ancient scroll. Each chapter draws us into a deeper understanding that what Jesus did for Israel in the past He will do for us today – deliver us from bondage to freedom found in Christ alone.
