New Christians in first-century Colossae were not all that different from Christians today. They, too, struggled to understand who Jesus is, how Jesus alone reconciles us to God, and why things aren't perfect in the Church.
In St. Paul's letter to these Christians he had never met, he doesn't say they should stop asking hard questions. He doesn't tell them to stop searching God's Word, to stop seeking spiritual wisdom, or to stop striving for unity within the Church. Instead, Paul focuses off of their questions and struggles on the Gospel of the mighty and mysterious God: the same God who created the universe revealed Himself among us and reclaimed us as His own through His Son, Jesus.

Wonderful Study!
The Mighty & the Mysterious Bible Study is wonderful! Heidi Goehmann has such a wonderful way of digging into Scripture and leading you through the tough parts, yet shares wonderful insight into how Scripture relates to real life. She speaks God's truths pointing you straight to Jesus. I love the videos that go with the study as well. She is easy to listen too and really gets you thinking. I am thankful for this study and encourage others to give it a try!

As an older Pastor, I found this study to be delightful and outstanding. I've been recommending it to my colleagues to use as a bible study with their laity. I used this series as an Adult Forum study. We had 15 people studying together. The program design, a combination of self-study, group discussion and digital streaming, was very effective. Ms. Goehmann's enthusiasm came through. Well done. I am impressed!!

Inspirational and Relatable
The Mighty & The Mysterious isn't just another ho-hum Bible study. It draws you in and lifts you up in the daily lessons. One of my Bible study participants said that it just made her week so much better because it was full of hope and light. Goehmann's style couples sound Biblical knowledge with relatable context for the scripture lessons in Colossians. Our whole group of men and women looks forward to both the daily lessons and the group video and discussion. Honestly, this is one of the best Lutheran Bible studies I have done. I look forward to the readings and insight provided in the workbook. As the Bible study leader, it's wonderful to be able to have such good material to be able to offer my group. You won't regret buying The Mighty & The Mysterious.
