60-Lesson Catechism Study Leader Guide - Enduring Faith Confirmation Curriculum

This curriculum provides a lot of busywork for the students and, when even followed in a bare bones fashion, still would require well over the typical hour or so that confirmation class can run per lesson. In addition, it lacks a lot of incite into the Christian faith and our Lutheran faith in particular. Many times, the lessons have the students simply copy what was written in the Small Catechism's Explanation into the workbook. The Leader Guide also does not offer much in terms of teaching aids or deeper explanation as to what the lesson and activities are trying to accomplish and often feels like it's giving simple pop-up tips that most people would know already. I give it 2 stars instead of 1 because it at least uses the catechism, though the execution of that could be better. My recommendation? Stick to teaching strictly from the Small Catechism and speak with trained educators for tips and advice if you need help with how to teach.

This product is simple, but useful and keyed to the new small catechism. It would be even more useful if the accompanying youtube videos for each lesson were downloadable for use when I cannot stream them.
