Historical Account
I found the book to be an historical account of the time period.Additional, the amazing art work provided a point of reference in understanding the events and people who shaped the Reformation.
Moreover, as one reviews the events of last 500 years, relative to the Reformation, it appears man-kind is in need of another reformation.

Lovely Book
This is a very nice coffee table book. It is packed with information, as well as beautiful photos, art, and maps. I appreciated the chapters devoted to English Reformation and the Catholic Reformation. These are two areas that kind of get a pass in many studies of the subject. I agree that the binding is quite tight, but I found the quality of paper and print quite excellent. Also, there are a few editing mishaps, but they are easy to pass over. I will take this book out often to peruse over, and I leave it on my coffee table from late September to Advent. You never know who might want to scan through it and where the conversation might lead.

Very informative, beautiful book
Fantastic book that is well written with an amazing assortment of artwork. But the book is hard to read because the thick art paper will not lay flat, even when pulled at the edge or squished in the center by hand. And because the words, artwork and photos melt into the center of the binding it is very frustrating to read.

Great Content
Just received books in mail to be used for gifts. Great content. Beautiful pictures. But quality of binding and the physical look of the book is really disappointing.
