Excellent for meditation
A great combination of words we might be familiar with along with new words. This combined with the well done drawings is a beautiful way to contemplate what God intends for our life. There is no need to color anything in to enjoy it. Just imagining what colors you might put in is good for your brain! Perfect for morning or evening personal reading. Kudos for bringing us something fresh and current :)

Missed opportunity
A great idea, but the execution is unfortunate. First, why add explanations to Luther’s text? Luther is amost always better than his “explainers”. Second, the pictures are often unimaginative. Really, a picture of “luggage” when it comes to a he forgiveness os sins? In the end, this is dissapointing.

I have enjoyed the illuminated catechism very much more than I expected, as at a certain age, we tend to abandon our coloring pencils. However, I did find the extra time spend meditating on the deeply meaningful phrases and their explanations very productive. Whatever it takes to slow us down sometimes to think and pray and connect various strands of thoughts is a good tool. I like it very much.

This Illuminated Catechism is a wonderful idea! I love coloring with my young nieces, so this will be a great tool to generate conversations about deeper spiritual truths captured so beautifully in the drawings. Thank you!
