Grace Williams isn’t looking for complications because, really, isn’t life complicated enough? She’s a single mom with four children. She has unresolved issues with her ex-husband. Her sister nags at her about going to church. Her kids are not perfect. And neither is Grace—she has hang-ups about organized religion, she is overwhelmed by suppressed guilt and grief, she is judgmental, and she can’t control her hair.
When a man shows up on her doorstep, Grace’s life is turned upside down. David is terrific with her kids, she loves his family, and her sister thinks he’s perfect. But he’s a little too pushy. And he wants her to change.
For anyone who’s ever made a mistake, Grace Alone is a story about forgiveness, hope, and grace in the midst of a messy life. Because God specializes in new beginnings.

Excellent Book on Grace
Such an inspiring book about Grace! The author does a great job in intertwining a 'real to life' story with Grace and how our witness can be life-changing with those we come in contact with. Would love to see more of these "true to life' books written.

Loved it!
I loved 'Grace Alone.' Knew almost all of the hymns referenced. Would love to read a sequel to the book. I live less than 1 hour from where Ruth Meyer grew up. Made a wonderful connection that the story was set in Michigan!

Exceptional and Engaging
Grace Alone is an exceptional piece of Christian fiction by a truly talented author. Ruth’s eloquent writing style and attention to detail help shape a believable story with authentic and relatable characters, all of which focus around a central message that is apropos for all types of readers. In a genre often littered with copious amounts of feel-good storylines and obvious outcomes, Ruth excels at including a perfect amount of plot twists and realistic scenarios that help keep the reader engaged and turning the pages. I sincerely hope that there is a follow-up book to Grace Alone, and look forward to reading more of Ruth’s work!

Twists and Turns!
Ruth Meyer did an excellent job with this great fiction read! It has characters that many people can relate to! The most exciting parts of the book are the twists and turns that you don't always expect. Very believable read too! Such a great book! Thank you Ruth! I can't wait for the sequel!

A Winner
I loved this book. Finally, a fiction book with believable characters! I am very excited to s CPH publish books like this one. We need more fiction books set in our faith context. The story alone was a compelling read but the spiritual lessons regarding real examples of walking the faith put it over the top! Please publish more from this author!

Grace for ALL
Grace Alone does a great job of looking at Christians from the viewpoint of a non believer. There are a lot of preconceived notions (pious, self-righteous) regarding Christians and organized religions in general. Some of them deserved. But, the book does a great job of attempting to dispel those notions by
giving Biblical references of the not-so-perfect prophets. Also, David, the Christian principal, humanizes himself by admitting to wrongdoings to Grace and others. He brings home the point that Jesus died for us ALL, that whosoever believes in Him, will be saved by grace through faith. There is no sin that is not covered by his death and resurrection. Really important for a non-believer (and Christians alike) to understand. If HE can forgive us, why can’t we forgive ourselves? This was an excellent read of Christian fiction. It had twists and turns to the very end. Well done Ruth Meyer

Having Faith
I thought this was a great book for those who can relate as single mothers, and for those who are new to to the Lutheran faith. This book will keep you in suspense with the many twists and turns it takes. The overall message is finding grace and mercy in difficult situations and learning to rely on your faith in those circumstances.

I rarely read fiction, but this one was different. An enjoyable read this weekend, and appreciated a faith-based story about Grace & the nature of Grace in our everyday lives.

Wonderful read, full of Biblical truths
Grace Alone is Christian fiction at its best. The characters immediately drew me into their story and were portrayed with true realism.Likewise, the storyline portrays the complications of living in our sinful world and points both the characters and the reader to Jesus. The theology is central to the book but not heavy-handed. And the humor and overall tone kept me smiling. I look forward to reading more from this talented author!
