Engaging look at the 10 Commandments
This Bible study is a very engaging, eye-opening look at the 10 Commandments. I appreciated how Christina drew parallels between the Old and New Testament teachings on the Commandments, and the stories she told helped me think about the role of the Commandments in my own life. There is a good balance of Law and Gospel, although I felt like a few of the sessions didn’t really shine the Gospel light as clearly as I needed. The discussion questions tend to be very personal, which was excellent for individual reflection, but can make it challenging to discuss in a group of acquaintances.

Wonderful Study
I have read this book on my own, but it would lend even better to a women’s bible study. I found myself underlining and sharing parts with others, while nodding my head in agreement with the ways in which we stray and God is good. A good study to do on the spot as well, if you don’t have a lot of time for study preparations. Short stories to draw you in and good questions with Biblical references to draw you to God’s grace.

Refreshing and encouraging
This is an excellent look at the Ten Commandments and what they mean for 21st-century believers in everyday life. Christina has an enjoyable conversational style of writing. She relates personal stories with vulnerability and honesty. I was convicted as to ways I break the Ten Commandments, but her overarching theme is one of God’s grace and love shown to us through His Law and His Gospel. Her chapters about the Ninth Commandment are particularly strong and resonated deeply with me. Definitely a book worth reading again and again.
