The Christmas story is presented in the framework of the beloved hymn “Hark! The Herald Angels Sing,” showing how Charles Wesley crafted the hymn based on Scripture verses found throughout the Old and New Testaments.

This Christmas service provides a variety of ways to involve children in a Christmas service. With a program for all ages and one for early childhood, children can serve as readers, speaking characters, and nonspeaking characters. Scripts are written for up to 5 speakers for the elementary and up to 7 for the early childhood program, but since the service is provided in an editable form, you may delete or add parts. Reader parts can be combined or divided into even more parts if needed.

Everything needed for Hark the Herald Angels Sing is provided, including all music, bulletin information, leaders notes, lyrics, scripts, a children’s message, everything needed for an early childhood program, a planning timeline, and more.

The planning CD-ROM includes:
