Based off the favorite classic Christmas service, Light a Candle for the Savior, this unique children’s service involves the lighting of candles to represent the good news of God’s love, shown for us in the gift of His son on that first Christmas. There are seventeen points in the service where candles could be lit including the four candles of God's Gifts--grace, love, peace, joy.

Service features favorite hymns such as “Away in the Manger” and “Hark! The Herald Angels Sing,” as well as sixty-one numbered speaking parts for children, a responsive reading with a refrain for small children, and a group recitation for older children. Parts can be easily accommodated to fit the number of children participating in the service.

Children or adults can be selected and costumed to act out the Christmas story.
