Martha Van Buskirk

Martha Van Buskirk is a writer, speaker, and author from Houston. A proud momma of three millennials and a doting grandmother, she especially loves quiet time with Jesus, hanging out with family, reading, strong coffee, and the mountains. Her delight is shining the light of faith in Christ – with joy and imperfection – in everyday spaces, as an advocate for charitable causes, and alongside her husband, Raymond. He’s pastor of St. Peter Lutheran Church in downtown Houston, a mission plant launched in 1937 to reach Spanish-speaking neighbors. Martha holds a BA in journalism from Valparaiso University and a certification in nonprofit leadership from Rice University. Her first book, Ordinary Lives, Extraordinary Grace: God’s Purpose in Your Every Day was published by Concordia Publishing House in November 2024.
