Margo Heath-Dupre

Margo is a Christian author and a mixed-media visual artist. As a writer, she focuses on biblical literacy offering encouragement to women of all ages to develop a closer relationship with God. As an artist she focuses on expressing the beauty of God’s creation through in-depth botanical creations made from 100% cotton yarn and Acrylic paint. While creating art, she meditates on Gods holy word by listening to Christian instrumental music. She finds it soothing and it often brings to mind what God wants her to write about. She has a BA degree in art education from the University of Detroit-Mercy. And she was the recipient of a LWML educational scholarship in recognition of her service that helped her receive a Master of Education degree in curriculum and instruction from Concordia University – Portland, Oregon. Her service to the ministry includes work with her husband serving Texas Tech students for the Lutheran Student Fellowship and nine years in cross-cultural ministry in West Texas. She has written various biblical studies focused on women’s concerns. Worked as a Christian school art teacher focused on integrating Christianity into the visual arts and produced curriculum designed for middle and high school students that directly supported teaching Christian values and learning the impact of Christianity on modern culture. She has created various presentations to support the work of the LWML in educating women about embracing diversity in the Christian church. Published article: “Living Forgiven” in Lutheran Woman’s Quarterly Fall 2014 and was the featured cover story focused on service as Chair of the Heart to Heart Sister program. She has been married to her husband, Pastor Brian Dupre, for more than 30 years. Together, they have four young adults who are married, and four grandchildren. They currently serve in the ministry at Shadow of the Cross Lutheran Church in Farmington Hills, Michigan.
