“Magnificat” by Richard W. Gieseke is for soprano soloist, SAB choir, and keyboard. The prose text of the Magnificat, sung by the soloist, is interspersed with a hymn versification, sung by the choir, that allows reflection on the text. This piece is particularly appropriate during Advent or at an evening service where the Magnificat is sung.
