Erich A. von Fange
Author Erich A. von Fange, Ph.D., is professor emeritus from Concordia University, Ann Arbor. He and his wife, Esther, live in Adrian MI, and are parents of five married children. After graduating from Concordia College, Seward, NE, his 44-year teaching ministry included Lutheran schools in San Francisco and at the Concordia Universities in Seward, NE; Edmonton, Alberta; and Ann Arbor, MI. Besides his first love of teaching, especially in psychology, he served many years as Academic Dean and in various other administrative positions. He has been a member of boards, committees, and commissions devoted to Lutheran higher education. His graduate degrees are from the University of Nebraska (M.A.) and the University of Alberta (Ph.D.), where he was a Kellogg Fellow. The Concordia Publishing House book, The Flood, by Alfred M. Rehwinkel (1951), along with teaching Bible classes, aroused a deep interest in Old Testament biblical studies. Many years later Dr. Rehwinkel gave him strong encouragement to write and publish after he had read Dr. von Fange’s first book, Time Upside Down, which presented many evidences for our young, created earth. He has long been interested in studying the literature of science where it seems to be in conflict with the truths of .the Bible, especially in ancient history, archaeology, geology, paleontology, and related sciences. Three trips with a focus on biblical archaeology to the Bible lands, including a summer-long archaeological dig in Syria, were especially valuable. Dr. von Fange has written and published books and papers on so-called prehistory and ancient history. For more than 30 years he has been active in lecturing on a variety of topics of interest to creationists and to students of the Bible in general, including questions and issues about the dinosaur and cavemen in our young created earth.
