Thomas A. Von Hagel
Thomas A. Von Hagel is Associate Professor of Theology at Concordia University Chicago (River Forest, IL) where he primarily teaches Historical Theology, e.g., History of Christian Biography, Martin Luther, and Women in the History of Christianity. He is a graduate of Concordia University, St. Paul, MN (BA); Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne, IN (MDiv); and Saint Louis University, St. Louis, MO (PhD). He has served congregations in Augusta, MO and Kearney NE. His teaching experience includes West Virginia University, Morgantown, WV and Concordia University College, Edmonton, AB. One Lord, One Faith, One Baptism, a book on Christian biography, was published by Concordia Publishing House. He has penned articles on a variety of theological topics in Canadian Lutheran, Cistercians Studies Quarterly, Concordia Journal, Concordia Pulpit Resources, Gottesdienst, Homiletic, Logia, Lutheran Education, Lutheran Theological Review, Lutheran Witness, McKendree Pastoral Review, and Word & Deed. In addition to continuing his study of Christian biography and homiletics, Thomas is also working on the 1580 Dressden edition of the Book of Concord.
