James Marriott
James Marriott is an Assistant Professor of Theology and Music, the Chair of the Theology Department, and the Director of Choral Activities at Concordia University, Texas. He previously was the director of music arts for Concordia Seminary, St. Louis. Marriott holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in Church Music from Concordia University Nebraska and Wisconsin. He earned his Ph.D. in liturgical theology at Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary in Evanston, Ill. He also was trained and ordained as a pastor through Concordia Seminary, St. Louis. Jim is a regular recitalist and lecturer across the United States. He is especially interested in helping congregations explore the intersection between liturgy and culture. Marriott and his wife, Kristi, have two children, Joel and Kirstin.
