Susan Titus Osborn
Susan Titus Osborn began her writing career in 1978, writing take-home papers for the Sunday school market. Her first book was published in 1986, and her 29th book, Wounded by Words, will be released February 2008. She has written nonfiction books for adults, including editing and compiling books on Christian writing, as well as a number of picture books and early readers for children. Susan is the director of the Christian Communicator Manuscript Critique Service where she heads a staff of 18 critiquers. She has been fulfilling her passion to help writers to improve their writing and to get published since 1984. She offers a hands-on e-mail course through her Web site, www.ChristianCommunicator.com. She has taught Christian writing at over 140 Christian conferences in the US as well as in seven foreign countries. As an adjunct professor, she has taught Christian writing courses at Biola University, The Masters College, Hope International University, and Concordia University. As well as authoring 29 books of her own, Susan has been the past editor of two magazines: The Christian Communicator and Trails ‘n’ Treasures. She has written numerous articles and contributed articles or chapters to a number of books. Her most recent contributions have been to Chicken Soup for the Christian Woman’s Soul, Today in the Word, Intimate Moments with God, Intimate Encounters with God, Daily Grace for Women, The Little Handbook to Perfecting the Art of Christian Writing, and the 2007 Guide to Literary Agents. She is on the staff for Christian Leaders and Speakers Services (CLASS) and is also a CLASS speaker. She speaks at churches and MOPS groups, as well as at Christian writers’ conferences. Susan is a member of Advanced Christian Writers and Speakers (AWSA) and is a board member of American Christian Writers.
