Luther's Divine Service: A Festival Setting for Large Choirs
This festival setting of Divine Service, Setting Five of Lutheran Service Book is designed for churches with larger musical forces; it is arranged for SATB choir, organ, brass quartet, and congregation. This setting was commissioned by The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod to celebrate the 500th anniversary of the Reformation. Because all necessary musical components are included, the service can be used by any church. Settings are included for the following hymns:
- “Kyrie! God, Father”
- “All Glory Be to God on High”
- “We All Believe in One True God”
- “Isaiah, Mighty Seer in Days of Old”
- “Lamb of God, Pure and Holy”
- “O Lord, We Praise Thee”
- “In Peace and Joy I Now Depart”
This Divine Service setting is useful at many celebratory occasions and any time a congregation wants a festival setting of one of the seven hymns.
