Cathy Moklebust does excellent work creating an effective setting of Let All Mortal Flesh Keep Silence for 3–5 octave handbells, 2–4 octave handchimes, triangle, finger cymbals, and chime tree. This Lord’s Supper hymn is appropriate for any time in the Church Year, but particularly at Christmas and the Annunciation. Staying true to its tune name PICARDY, the final stanza ends with a beautiful and somewhat unexpected transition to the major key. An edition for 2-3 octaves is also available (977468).
