An arrangement by Sandra Eithun for 2 octave handbells or handchimes and piano of three Lenten standards: Go to Dark Gethsemane (with Richard Redhead's tune GETHSEMANE); Stricken, Smitten, and Afflicted (with German tune O MEIN JESU, ICH MUSS STERBEN); and In the Cross of Christ I Glory (with Ithamar Conkey's tune RATHBUN). Level II. These three stand-alone settings feature the melody in the handbells with a rich complementary texture in the piano. Ideal for smaller choirs and when rehearsal time is short.
