This “Gloria Patri” forms the concluding section of a motet, Beati Omnes, by Antonio Caldara. It was edited and transcribed by Reinhard G. Pauly for soprano soloist, SAB choir, 2 violins, and organ, with an optional continuo part for cello. The andante section is performed by soloist, violin 1, and continuo. The second section includes the rest of the voices and instruments and can be fuller. It can be performed in both Latin and English. This beautiful piece can work in almost any setting, but could particularly well on Trinity Sunday.
