Explore Level 1 (Gr 1-3) Student Leaflet (OT2)
Kids dig into the Bible story and lesson with these colorful leaflets. Each week’s Explore Level 1 Student Leaflet, for grades 1–3, takes kids into God’s Word through four sections:
Read – kids read a simple retelling of the Bible story
Look – kids look for clues to find out what is happening in Bible story illustrations and visual teaching materials
Find – kids use their Bibles to find answers to questions about the Bible story
Share – kids put their faith into action with these life-application activities
This take-home leaflet also contains a game, puzzle or other Bible challenge related to the Bible story, and a memory verse. Kids can share what they learned each week with their family and friends, and do the share activity throughout the week.
Help encourage additional family talk with Explore More Cards. These simple cards feature the realistic artwork from each week’s Bible story, a question or two about the Bible story and how it relates to life today, and an activity for the whole family to do together.
One copy of the Explore Level 1 Student Leaflet is included in each quarter’s Cross Explorations Sunday School Kit. Additional copies can be ordered for each student.
The thirteen Old Testament Bible stories covered in the God Protects His People in Egypt and the Exodus quarter are:
Joseph and His Brothers
Joseph Feeds Egypt
The Birth of Moses
Moses and the Burning Bush
Moses and the Plagues
Crossing the Red Sea
God Provides Manna, Water, and Quail
The Ten Commandments
Worship in the Tabernacle

About Cross Explorations
Cross Explorations is a large group/small group Sunday School program for grades 1–6 that takes kids through the Bible in three years. This mixed-style Bible learning experience—similar to a site-rotation program—is perfect for teaching kids and their parent the same Bible story in age-appropriate ways so family can grow in faith together.
Cross Explorations provides more material than a typical Sunday School can use in a one-hour time slot. The flexible format lets you pick and choose what works best for your Sunday School volunteers and kids.
Cross Explorations can also be used as a midweek or family program.
