John Behnke has achieved a remarkable endeavor with this collection, which was inspired by the original “Eight Little Preludes and Fugues,” commonly attributed to J. S. Bach. These new “Little Eight” can be used as preludes or postludes during worship or as teaching or recital pieces. This collection is not an attempt to replicate the original, rather it honors the form and use of the original and provides new pieces in the keys of C major, D minor, E minor, F major, G major, G minor, A minor, and B-flat major.
