David P. Scaer

Dr. David P. Scaer is The David P. Scaer Professor Emeritus of Biblical and Systematic Theology at Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne and a member of the Society of Biblical Literature, the Institute for Biblical Research, the Alliance of Confessional Evangelicals, and the Christianity Today Institute. Among Dr. Scaer’s published works are Discourses in Matthew (Concordia Publishing House, 2004), The Sermon on the Mount (Concordia Publishing House, 2000), Jesus’ Resurrection: New Testament Testimonies (Concordia Publishing House, 2026) and numerous articles appearing in journals such as Concordia Theological Quarterly, Christianity Today, Lutheran Forum, Logia (contributing editor), and The Journal of the Evangelical Theological Society.
