Level III handbell piece based on the tune JEFFERSON for Advent or general use.
This Level III piece for 3 or 5 octave handbells is based on the tune JEFFERSON. “Come, Thou Long-Expected Jesus” is quick and agile with a consistent, syncopated rhythm that is malleted. Later stanzas become more lyrical with consistent eighth notes that are LV to create a bleeding effect. The piece ends much as it began with lively mallet parts. This piece by Lauran Delancy is perfect for Advent or more general use.
