Understand history through the "heroes" of the Christian faith.
Overview Paul wrote his letter to the Ephesians while he was a prisoner and reminded them of what God's great power and grace has done for believers. He refers to the calling of all Christians to faith through the grace of God and states that in order to establish and maintain the unity of the one true Church, we are asked to confess "one Lord, one faith, one baptism."
This book is a collection of short, 1-2 page biographies that offer a means to understand history through the "heroes" of the Christian faith as they confessed the truths of Christ and His teachings. It includes an introduction to the role of the saints in the Church from a Lutheran perspective, the relation between Christian lives, and the life of Christ.
