The keyboard part is optional in this setting of WONDROUS LOVE for SATB choir and flute.
“What Wondrous Love Is This” by James Melby is for flute, SATB choir, and optional keyboard. This piece opens with the flute solo and the choir and keyboard join. The keyboard doubles the choir part so it is not needed if choir is confident on their own. This arrangement uses the sounds of the pentatonic scale that recall its origin from Southern Harmony. This is a great piece for Lent and is appointed as the hymn of the day for Wednesday in Holy Week.
