Manager, Concordia Technology Solutions
Full-Time
This position will oversee the Sales, Marketing, Development, and Technical Support of the core business group Church Administration (CA). This position will develop and implement strategic business plans and maintain customer service standards for supported products. Specific responsibilities include:
- Full profit and loss responsibility for CA
- Develop, write and execute the business plan for CA
- Conduct analysis on all financial reports, take appropriate action as needed
- Research and identify market needs and trends
- Continuous development and management of all CTS brands
- Develop and execute CA marketing strategies
- Develop and execute ROI focused lead generation campaigns for sales
- Initiate and manage 3rd party revenue share relationships
- Develop training curriculum and oversee training program
- Manage, coach and motivate Sales and Technical Support staff
- Assist in development by helping to define product specifications
- Assist in Beta testing of new product and product upgrades prior to release
The successful candidate will have at least four years experience with marketing, advertising, sales promotions, pricing, and merchandising; possess strong and effective management skills; and strong computer skills, including MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and CRM software. This position requires a B.S./B.A. in Marketing, Business, Communication, or related field.
Digital Product/Multimedia/Web Developer
Full-time
This position will conduct research and analysis, design, develop, and produce digital products from concept to launch. Specific duties include:
- Research and analyze customer needs to identify opportunities for new product innovation and existing product improvements.
- Educate and consult with internal stakeholders on technology initiatives and provide feedback/recommendations on proposed requirements.
- Serve as primary point of contact for day-to-day development activities including milestone reviews, feedback aggregation, and approval.
- Develop digital prototypes for testing and review purposes.
Successful candidates will have the ability to define user needs, design user interfaces, and produce high quality products while adhering to best practice workflows; one to two years related experience with demonstrated knowledge of HTML, CSS, XML, and other rich media formats; B.S. in instructional technology, information technology or related field; experience with learning management systems and mobile platforms, PHP and open source technology is a plus.
This position will work with Ruby and Rails to create and maintain web applications. Specific responsibilities include:
- Collaborate with team members.
- Incubate new ideas.
- Participate in the requirements-gathering process.
- Mock-up user interfaces.
- Design and write high quality code and supporting unit tests.
B.S. in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and experience writing web applications is required. Experience working with relational databases and familiarity with Ruby, Rails, JavaScript, SQL, and CSS is preferred.
This position will work directly with internal clients on product teams to create rich, digital designs for the internet, interactive platforms, and mobile devices. Specific opportunities include:
- Develop web design for internal projects.
- Design and update existing websites, digital publications and applications.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Editorial, and IT to define design requirements for websites, web portals, eBooks, and mobile applications.
- Create flow diagrams, site maps, wire frames, and prototypes.
- Assist with development and maintenance of consistent visual solutions for CPH and internal brands.
- Design and develop digital components for products such as interactive charts, graphs, buttons, icons, and layout features.
The successful candidate will be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Dreamweaver, understand XML within the scope of digital publishing, have experience with traditional graphic processes, be familiar with the coding behind web design (including HTML and CSS) with ASP knowledge preferred, understand website structure and functionality, and have experience with corporate branding, layout, color theory, and typography in both print and digital media. B.S./B.A. in related field or equivalent Graphic/Web Design experience (one to three years) or comparable portfolio.
User Experience (UX) Designer

Experience working with relational databases and familiarity with ASP.Net, VB.Net, C#, HTML, Ajax, JavaScript, SQL, and CSS is preferred. This position is located in St. Louis, MO.
Concordia Publishing House develops curriculum and support materials that enable congregations of the LCMS to carry out the Great Commission. This position will provide clerical administrative support and editorial assistance. Responsibilities include:
- Prepare manuscripts and related material for editing and submission.
- Provide a variety of support services such as filing, research, referencing, and scheduling.
- Maintain accurate records of author/consultant contracts and payment and initiate/prepare payment vouchers.
- Perform general office duties (phone and email inquiries).
- Create electronic resources--PowerPoint, RTF files, CD resources, etc.
- Obtain permission for copyrighted material and maintain accurate records of permissions correspondence.
- Attend department and business-wide meetings and functions.
- Assist with organization of consultant/author workshops.
- Assist with manuscript proofreading.
Minimum of a high school diploma (B.S./B.A. preferred), proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, PP, Excel, and Outlook), knowledge of Mac platform, strong command of English grammar and spelling, familiar with InCopy/InDesign software, and two years administrative assistant/clerical experience required. LCMS background is strongly preferred.
