Marketing Manager - Internet Specialist
Status: Full-time

  Concordia Publishing House, the publishing arm of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod, is seeking a Marketing Manager—Internet Specialist. This position is responsible for the marketing efforts designed to drive Web site consumer traffic and sales. This includes paid and natural search, affiliated programs, partnerships, marketing/content integration programs, e-mail marketing acquisition and retention programs and product programs with other media-based businesses. This position will work closely with all marketing groups to develop and implement effective electronic marketing campaigns and will be responsible for cost center management, reporting and evaluation of electronic marketing efforts, and for achieving web sales as set forth in the annual operation plan. Director, Music and Worship Resources
Status: Full-time

Concordia Publishing House, the publishing arm of the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod, is seeking a Director, Music & Worship Resources.  This position oversees the development and production of all Music and Worship publications, linear, visual, audio, and multimedia; finds and recruits potential editors, composers, and clinicians; serves as chief liaison concerning worship and music with LCMS units and other publishing houses; and prepares and oversees the annual business plan. 

Candidates must be a member of the LCMS, listed on the official roster of Synod (preferred), possess a Master’s degree or equivalent training in theology and/or church music and have five years parish experience or its equivalent with demonstrated interest in total parish ministry.

Title:
Customer Service Representative
Status: Full-time

Concordia Publishing House, the publishing arm of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod currently has an opening for a Customer Service Representative. This position is responsible for answering 80 to 100 incoming customer telephone calls per day in a timely manner, while meeting call quality expectations. The CSR will listen to customer needs and provide caring service to all CPH customers. The CSR is responsible for maintaining good customer relationships, and will exhibit the ability/desire to find solutions to customer’s problems. CSRs have an enthusiastic, customer-focused attitude and take pride in their work.  Must be able to handle paperwork involved in processing returns, credits, address changes, quality assurance, claims, gratis orders, call tags, changes to orders and rush orders. The successful candidate must be detail oriented, enthusiastic, dependable, able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, work well under pressure, and have previous customer service experience, preferably in a call center environment. Programmer/Analyst
Status: Full-time

Concordia Publishing House, the publishing arm of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod currently has an opening for a Programmer/Analyst. This position performs and oversees development, production, and maintenance support for all mission-critical CPH Business Systems, including eBackOffice, eFrontOffice, Business Intelligence, eWarehouse, Star Projects, Ultimate Payroll, Unitime Timekeeping, RTS Pick-To-Light, and ePOS. Duties include:

• Work with vendors and others to maintain peak operability of the CPH Business Systems, including, but not limited to, the following tasks: 

  1. Implementing changes to keep pace with technology trends and to avoid obsolescence
  2. Investigating and resolving bugs and other software errors
  3. Maintaining adequate backups and archives of software media
  4. Installing software upgrades and enhancements as necessary

• Work with vendors and others to improve and enhance the functionality of CPH Business Systems, including, but not limited to, the following tasks:
  1. Identifying ways to improve the systems to benefit CPH users
  2. Adding new features/enhancements (both analysis/design and programming)

• Analyze the needs of CPH, its employees and its customers, and determine how these needs can be met through innovative software solutions.

• Through personal research and formalized education / training, maintain knowledge of programming industry trends, techniques and technologies.

• Assist in evaluating the technology services offered by CPH technology partners.

• Provide as needed technical assistance for CPH Business Systems users.

The successful candidate will have a BA or BS degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent experience; minimum of three years of progressively responsible experience in a comparable position; broad knowledge of microcomputers, LAN’s, Internet and office productivity tools; relevant experience with SQL operating system; thorough understanding of relational database design concepts; minimum three years of experience with Visual Basic 6.0 development, VB.NET or C# development, ASP and ASP.NET, SQL (Structured Query Language), and Crystal Reports.
