What is LifeLight?
LifeLight Bible studies combine group and personal study to create a comprehensive learning experience focused on God’s word. The series provides leader and student resources to explore a specific book of the Bible and other doctrinal topics in nine weeks. All of the studies are written by Bible scholars and pastors and are field tested to ensure that participants will get the most out of each study. Thousands of churches use LifeLight to encourage members in daily Scripture reading and study.
Personal Study (20-30 minutes daily)
Participants prepare for weekly classes with a five-day study guide that provides Scripture readings and related questions. The guide is designed for daily use, but offers flexibility to suit each individual’s needs.
Group Study (weekly)
Worship (5 minutes)
Each week, the gathering of LifeLight begins with the group joining in worship together. The leader directs participants in a hymn and prayer that reflect the Scripture studied during the week.
Discussion (55 minutes)
After worship, the large group divides into smaller groups. A prepared discussion leader facilitates each group as participants share their answers from the week’s study guide and engage in Christian fellowship.
Lecture (20 minutes)
The small groups reassemble for the leader’s homily that further clarifies the lesson. With the power of the Holy Spirit, the lecture provides deeper insight into the Scripture and ideas to help members act on the truths they have learned.
Includes lectures and answers to questions from the student Enrichment Magazines. Leaders and participants agree that they enjoy comparing their own answers with “the book.” This format makes for a lively exchange of thoughts and experiences.
Student Enrichment Magazine/Study Guide
Guides participants through each of the nine-week studies with thought-provoking study questions, hymn lyrics, and prayers. Full-color magazine articles provide historical background and helpful information that relates to each lesson.
